When my son was little, I wanted him to grow up barefoot, free, and close to nature.
I wanted him to learn from the sea, the wind, and the kindness of people not just from screens and schedules.
City life offered opportunities, but it also came with noise, rush, and pressure. I dreamed of something softer a life where he could wake up to the sound of the waves, spend afternoons climbing trees, and fall asleep under a sky full of stars.
Moving to Panama gave him that gift.
Here, life flows at a different rhythm slower, more human, more connected. He has space to dream, to play, and to breathe.
He’s learned that happiness doesn’t come from what we own, but from how we live in gratitude, in simplicity, in presence.
Every time I see him running on the beach, hair salty from the ocean breeze and laughter echoing through the palms, I know I made the right choice.
Raising my son away from the city wasn’t just about changing our surroundings it was about returning to what truly matters.
